Hylian Shied & Master Sword

Inspired by the Legend of Zelda series. The piece is displayed on a 20 inch by 16 inch canvas with the sword extended past that. Looks awesome on the wall. Probably not that great for fighting monsters.

Any chance you would share your template for this? I just started perling and this would be so much fun to do.

Hey Andrew! I would but unfortunately I don't have one. I just eyeballed it as I went along. Feel free to use these photos as reference though. Hopefully they will help you in your quest :)

Did you make a full sword or is it just what is visible?

Just the visible parts. Didn't want to waste beads and it left space for a nick sturdy piece of black foam core.

Do you have any pictures of it before you completely assembled it?

Negative. But here's a video tutorial of me making a mini-version. Essentially the same thing, just a smaller scale: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o3OOWlvV9zs

I'm having trouble finding the colors needed to make this in stores, so I'm going have to order them online, would you happen to know what colors you used? There is an impressive amount of blues to choose from and I'm kinda stuck on which ones to purchase

No worries! They're dark blue, light blue, pastel blue, and toothpaste. Have fun! I'd love to see it when it's done.

Hey! How many beads (?) did you use to "The blue background"?

Hey I just got done making the shield myself and I would error on the side of caution and have about 3 bags of each blue color... The dark blue, the light blue and the pastel blue. That way you have enough for both the shield and the sword, if you are just making the shield I would recommend having two bags of each blue

Hello! I'm planning to reproduce this for my brother but there's a color I can't quite identify, what is the name of the sort of cream color you used on the blade (the top part ) and on the top right side of the shield ? Is it ivory?

I know this is an old post, but where did you get the green background?

I’m not the original creator of this but I did make one with some guidance from the OP I’m pretty sure it’s a wooden or canvas background just painted to look like link’s back.

Sara do you happen to have a template for when you made yours?

Hey so I don't have a template but i do have pictures from when i made it. When I put it together i just zoomed in and counted the beads and then laid them out accordingly. I'd be happy to send the pictures to you as a guide if you'd like. If you're interested email me at [email protected]
