HEY you guys!! Another holiday commission finally revealed. I love the way this one turned out because it really has it all. The kids, the villains, the skull of One-Eyed Willie, the ship, map, a pile of treasure... Bonus points for the Octopus cameo, a scene that was cut from the final version of the film but referenced by Data at the end anyway. Remember, Goonies Never Say Die!

Batman Vs Superman! These two titans are mounted on a couple 12 x 24 inch painted canvases. Partly inspired by the teaser footage for the upcoming movie but featuring a more comic-based look of the characters. Bonus points for Clark's subtle heat vision. A good example of one pixel making a big difference.    I had a cool little interview with Casey over at Don't Forget A Towel. We talked about my influences growing up, some of my favorite pieces, and the future of the Pixel Art Shop!

Yo dawg, I heard you liked ReBoot so they're rebooting ReBoot into a ReBoot reboot! I'd be hard-pressed to think of another show that changed so drastically in its few short years. From a colorful kid's program to a grimy sci-fi drama, the latest Mini-Pix piece is a tribute to the first series that showed me just how bad-ass a Saturday morning cartoon could be. I'm very curious about a new series but it sure will be hard to top the original. Alphanumeric!    |
