Hey friends!  So, the Gallery 1988 show 'Is This Thing On? 2" opened on Friday to huge crowds lined up out the door!  There's also this really cool interview with Weird Al about the event.  My Stephen Colbert and Community pieces even made it into the main (above) image!  Pixel power!

]]><![CDATA[Pixel Art featured in upcoming art shows!]]>Wed, 18 Jan 2012 07:36:28 -0800http://www.pixelartshop.com/1/post/2012/01/post-title-click-and-type-to-edit.html Greetings, friends!  I'm going to have some of my work featured in the upcoming show "Is This Thing On? 2" at the prestigious Gallery 1988 in Los Angeles!  "Is This Thing On? 2" is the sequel to the mega-hit art show last year which features work inspired by performers in the world of comedy.

I will have several pieces featured in the exhibit but you're lucky enough to get a sneak peek at one of the pieces, based on the NBC comedy, Community!

The above photo features the cast of the Community in their "pilot" clothes and the second piece is their Christmas selves (according to Abed).  There will be several more variations of the cast in the final piece so stay tuned for more!
